Here at YoYo Yo!, we've split up our YoYos into different skill levels to make it easier for you to choose which YoYo you would like.  Here's a quick explanation of the three levels:

  1. Beginner - for those of your just started out with a YoYo, the YoYos in the beginner range offer a good place to start.  These YoYos are usually responsive (meaning they will come back up easily), not too heavy and generally easy to use.
  2. Intermediate - if you're more than a novice and you've got the basics covered, then grabbing a YoYo from this skill level is probably a good idea.  The intermediate skill level contains a mix of both responsive and unresponsive YoYos.
  3. Advanced - once you've covered off most of the beginner and intermediate tricks, it's time to move onto an advanced YoYo to really showcase your skills to your friends!
  4. Competition - these are professional, competition-level YoYos - once you've got plenty of ability - these are the pieces to throw!  These YoYos play as well as they look!

Some YoYos will be in multiple skill levels if they are deemed to be suitable for more then one level.  This just means that the YoYo has characteristics that make it suitable for different levels of play.
